A pregnant mother received winter blankets from this blonde Angel .
This week, she is delivering a daughter.
She reached out to Betty to take her precious 3 year old daughter while she is at the hospital.

Mom is drug free but struggling with keeping a home.
We hope the best for this family.

Homeless families in Warren and Cincinnati

We just accepted 3 children because the parents are homeless and the missions are full.
There actually is a waiting list to get in!  We hope that mom and dad are able to find jobs and housing soon and the family is reunited.
Below is a similar story in Cincinnati:

CINCINNATI - How desperate would you have to be to consider giving up your children because you couldn't care for them?
We have been talking this week about the rising tide of homelessness in the Tri-State. I talked with a mother who has faced that despair but found help. .
"It felt like I was taken off my feet and there was nothing I could do about it."
Karen was describing how it felt when she and her five children became homeless.
"When you have children and nowhere to go, it's an unexplainable feeling. Can't put it into words because children look at you as their savior," Karen said.
"Anybody giving up a child. that is a heart-wrenching decision," said Geoff Hollenbach of Lighthouse Youth Services' youth crisis center.
"I've had five job interviews since I've been here in a week," Karen said.
Karen said that now that she doesn't have to worry about a place to sleep or food for her children, she can focus on finding a job and moving forward.
"You wouldn't be a mom if you didn't figure out a better option for your children. You know, you wouldn't be a mom," she said.
When Karen needed help, she called 381-SAFE. That's the central access point for all family shelters in Cincinnati.
You can find resources and links to these agencies below. And they all need help, so if you'd like to donate or volunteer, check it out.
